Ollama Completes $65 Million Series B Funding
Ollama has completed a $65 million Series B funding round, led by Theory Ventures, with participation from Benchmark, 8VC, Y Combinator, and others, bringing the total funding to $88 million. Ollama allows developers to run open-source models locally with a single command and provides an API to integrate the models into applications. Currently, Ollama serves 8.9 million developers, with 85% of Fortune 500 companies using its services, and cloud services are also growing, with token usage doubling on average every month. The new funding will be used for local and cloud hybrid inference, support for new models on their first day, and team cloud services.
